Fort Lauderdale: Azimut 40
Twelve metres, two cabins, two heads, a lifting stern swimming platform and a huge fly: these are just some of the strong points of the newest member of Azimut&rsquo s Flybridge Collection.
Azimut-40.jpg
The Azimut 40 is equipped with two 355 mhp Cummins engines with V-drive transmission
that have a top speed of 31 knots and cruising speed (under medium load) of 26 knots. The
keel has an approximately 18° stern deadrise, a performance optimising angle which strikes
a good compromise between speed and wave cutting ability.
Like every other yacht in the Azimut collection, the Azimut 40 can be fitted with Easy
Docking, the computerised system which controls the two engines and bow propeller
complete with a joystick to guide the boat into the dock. It can also be fitted with Easy
Handling
TM
, the cruising assist system which reduces rudder pressure while at speed and
improves the turning radius.

The first 50 motor yacht that can sail continuously, everywhere, and with the greatest respect for the environment, thanks to her NMMA Certification (Class CE A approval) and, Rina Green Plus class notation. She is the first of the New Classic vessels to offer an abundance of light and large windows throughout the lower deck; and absolutely the first 50 footer to offer an outdoor salon in the bow and four alternative layouts below deck, responding perfectly to the owner&rsquos requirements.
