Le célèbre joaillier de la place Vendôme et le leader mondial des salons de la grande plaisance internationale viennent de signer un accord de partenariat ; celui-ci permet à Van Cleef & Arpels de devenir sponsor officiel de la 17ème édition du Monaco Yacht show qui se tiendra du 19 au 22 septembre 2007, sur le Port Hercule.

INTERNATIONAL MARINA TARRACO, THE SPANISH MEGA YACHT MARINA, OPENS ITS FIRST MOORING IN WINTER 2005 Strategically located in the north-eastern coast of Spain, at just 50 miles south of Barcelona, in Tarragona, IMT-International Marina Tarraco, comes as a relief to the high demand of long berths in Europe. The distinctive characteristics of IMT will allow a wide range of mega yachts looking for the most up-to-date service, to finally find their homeport. IMT will be ready to face the most demanding customer at all levels. IMT is located within the historical port and city of Tarragona and is composed of three docks: Muelle de Costa, Muelle de Lérida and Muelle de Levante. These three docks will give capacity to 90 mega yachts from 30m to 120m in length. The waiting quay will give bunkering service to yachts of up to 150m, which will have no problems of draught thanks to the 9m depth of the harbor.

The importance of medical and accident insurance for paid crew cannot be overemphasized. A crew medical insurance policy covers costs of treatment for paid crew in the event of illness or accident; complementary crew accident policy guarantees sums of indemnity and financial support in case of permanent invalidity or death. These two policies cover the crew 24/7, during working hours, off duty, but also during the weekend and holidays. Crewmembers who are temporarily or permanently employed on board a yacht should not be without this protection. Moreover, yacht owners (=employers) should be able to choose the most appropriate medical cover for their paid crew.
