Monaco Yacht Show

Y701-profile.jpg

A new construction started in Alblasserdam

This summer, Oceanco began construction in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands, of an 80-meter yacht, yard code “Y701”. The product of a detailed collaboration between Oceanco, noted Italian design firm Nuvolari & Lenard and the owner, the megayacht will offer both magnificent, customized living spaces and strong cruising performance in any seas.

Despite its large dimensions and muscular construction, the Y701 will show a sleek, aggressive silhouette, and be finished in a distinctive, yet timeless style. Her superstructure epitomizes the yacht’s strong character, offering a bold, “ship-looking” forward, and broad, long decks aft. But it also takes into account the practical needs of owner and guests, with a main deck that offers continuous walkarounds, for an ease of movement often not found on today’s yachts.

Guests and owners will enjoy complete privacy, with guests lodged on the main deck and a huge owner’s suite – complete with a large private terrace – located forward on the upper deck. The sky lounge deck, with its panoramic windows and large aft deck, will bring sunlight and scenery inside in, and offer easy access to the sun deck and its swimming pool. Together, the sky lounge and sun decks create a unique and beautiful place to entertain -- or just to relax and enjoy beach time.

Nuvolari & Lenard have located an innovative glass lobby on the main deck, just off the gangway, creating a space for where guests can wait comfortably to leave the yacht aboard one of two 30 foot tenders. For longer or faster land journeys, the yacht will also offer a helicopter landing area.

In addition to the two 30-footers, the Y701 will be served by three semi-rigid tenders, and will be able to accommodate various water toys.

With her powerful high bow and the beamy hull capturing the seaworthy character of this strong yacht, and the concern for comfort and privacy integrated into every aspect of the design, Y701 will be a classic Oceanco megayacht – as reliable on the open sea, as she is beautiful docked in port.
