Some other impressive attributes: - 60% of exhibited yachts measured from 20m to 40m - 40% of exhibited yachts measured over 40m - 15% of exhibited yachts – 14 in all – measured over 50m. This year, the largest yacht was 122 meters long. An illustrious international clientele worked and played hard Super yachting industry professionals, private clients and passionate amateurs combined work and pleasure during an intense social calendar. «Never has the show generated so many festive events and parties », stated Luc Pettavino, director of the MYS. Many professionals said that during the various parties, cocktails, dinners and seminars that took place onboard yachts and in town, they made as many contacts as during the four days of the show. Planning already underway for the 2005 edition as attendance and exposition area climbs Maintaining its 20% to 30% annual attendance and exhibition surface area growth over the past five years, the 2004 edition confirmed an extraordinary expansion which today has reached an ideal size. The configuration of the 2005 edition will shortly be unveiled with a priority for exhibition areas in air-conditioned tents, thus allowing the construction of custom built stands while adapting to the port renovation works. And as the yachts continue to get bigger, so will the demand to be among the 100 in-water yachts selected for exhibition. In fact, the organisers are already working hand in hand with the Monegasque authorities to satisfy the demand by applying measures which will reinforce the MYS’s position as the leading event of the international luxury yacht industry.
