UNIQUE ANTI-ROLLING SYSTEM FOR YACHTS
COMING TO THE USA

Ferretti Group to Showcase Revolutionary Stabilization System at the
Miami Boat Show Feb. 17-21 2005
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-February 17, 2005-Ferretti Group has signed an agreement giving them the exclusive ability to provide an Anti-Rolling Gyro (ARG) System on all of their products sold in North and South America. Ferretti Group already has an exclusive agreement for the ARG system in Europe. The units, which drastically reduce the rolling that some yachts experience at rest and slow speeds, will only be available on Ferretti Group brands which include: Ferretti Yachts, Bertram, Pershing, Itama, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line, and CRN. The revolutionary ARG System uses the principles of a spinning gyroscope to reduce the rolling of a boat by over 50%, which will make spending time on board Ferretti Group yachts more comfortable than ever.

Developed for Ferretti Group by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan, the new system is comprised of a substantial gyroscope enclosed within a chassis that is supported by shock absorbers.  Electricity powers the system, which creates rotation that automatically and gently opposes the movement of the waves to naturally reduce the rolling effect.  The same system is used in aerospace to keep satellites in their correct orbit position.
Other devices such as fin stabilizers exist to control the rolling of boats when cruising.  However, the ARG is the first stabilization system in the world capable of reducing rolling when cruising at slow speeds (up to 12 knots), AND when at anchor.

UNIQUE ANTI-ROLLING SYSTEM FOR YACHTS
And because the system is completely inside the hull of the boat, the structural integrity of the hull is maintained. With no external parts, there is less potential for damage to the system or the craft.
Not only does the ARG system significantly reduce the rolling motion of a boat, it is also extremely quiet.  Though a slight whirring sound may be noticeable when standing directly next to the unit, it is inaudible from most parts of the craft.  In fact, the ARG system is so quiet that stabilizers can be active at night without disturbing the ship owners' or guests' sleep.  The ARG system is also easy to use, as it does not require extensive controls.  Simply switch the system on, and it will quietly begin working whenever it senses a rolling motion.
