The results of the third edition of the Pershing Cup

August 3<SUP>rd</SUP> 2007 – The 2007 Pershing Golf Cup was played out in the splendid setting of the Riviera Golf Club in San Giovanni in Marignano (RN).

The tournament, which took place over two days (Saturday 28 July dedicated to the 2nd and 3rd Stableford categories and Sunday 29 July for golfers of the 1st Medal play category), saw 105 golfers competing.

Medal play, that is adding up all the strokes played for each hole, was used for the first category. Elia Casali, president of the San Marino Golf Federation, triumphed with the least number of strokes over 18 holes.

The Stableford formula, which awards 2 points for every hole completed in the correct number of strokes, was used for the second and third category. Ubaldo Battarra was the winner this time, with a remarkably accomplished performance for a novice.

The weekend was rounded off with the awards ceremony with the President of Riviera sport, Giampietro Ticchi, and the Pershing communications manager, Virginia De Carlo.
