Itama for the first time at the Dubai International Boat Show

March 25th, 2008 – on March 15 the Dubai International Boat Show, the largest trade exhibition for the yachting sector in the whole of the Middle East, came to an end.

And for the first time ever, Itama, the Ferretti Group member and classic “Made in Italy” yachting brand, took part in this show, which is rightfully becoming recognised as the most prestigious event for companies wishing to enter this rapidly expanding market in style.

The Italian shipyard went on stage in Dubai with a completely new version of the Itama Fifty Five, sporting a red hull and golden sand-brown sun deck and top. A new and unusual look that adds an extra touch of glamour and luxury to a motor yacht that has always been famous for its timeless colour scheme of classic blue and white.

Tilli Antonelli commented on this innovation as follows: “A new colour scheme in tone with the international image of the brand that Itama is currently developing with great conviction. While remaining faithful to its distinctively Itama profiles, in future the range will offer a number of special editions designed to emphasize the exclusive and unique features of these craft and to unite tradition, care and craftsmanship with latest generation technology and standards”.

Itama appeared at the Dubai International Boat Show, as part of the Ferretti Group stand, which came back again to an event that is becoming increasingly more important at a worldwide level. The decision to take part at this show confirms Itama’s investment in the great opportunities that these markets reserve for craft with a powerful, distinctive character that can summon up an entire world of quality and refined taste. The fact that the demand here is not just for excellence, but also style, is rapidly becoming a concrete business prospect for many Italian companies in the luxury sector. And for this reason too, the Itama Fifty Five will continue its tour of the Persian Gulf in order to be present at another major event, the Kuwait Boat Show, scheduled to take place between April 29 and May 3.

The company’s appearance at the Boat Show in Dubai is just the first in a series of new initiatives that the company has prepared for 2008. In fact, the forthcoming months hold in store the unveiling of the shipyard’s latest creation, the Itama SeventyFive. This will be at the heart of the Itama Power Circle, a special Itama event that has been transformed this year into a three-stage tour, scheduled to stop in Spain France and Italy. Each stage will naturally coincide with a major communications event in line with the company’s new strategy that focuses particularly on the highly authentic “open” spirit and intense yachting experience that these craft allow their owners to enjoy.

ITAMA AND THE FERRETTI GROUP

Itama is part of the Ferretti Group, leader in luxury motoryachts, with a unique portfolio of exclusive brands in the nautical world: Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN.

The Ferretti Group, founded by Norberto Ferretti in 1968, is in the forefront of the nautical industry, thanks to a constant product and process innovation and a continuous technological research. Luxury yachts are designed by a team of over 100 specialised engineers (Advanced Yacht Technology) and built in the Group’s 22 production units. Over 3,000 employees, managed by Chairman Norberto Ferretti and Chief Executive Officer Vincenzo Cannatelli, share the same continuous strive towards quality, technological excellence, top performance, exclusive and innovative design, maximising comfort and attention to detail. This daily commitment, common to all Ferretti Group employees, has taken it to the very heights of the nautical world.

The Group, which close its financial statements on August 31st 2007 with a Production Value of 933 million euros (a gain of + 21% compared with the 770 million Euros reported a year earlier), is currently present in 95 countries and has three representative branches situated in Europe, the United States and Asia. It also boasts an international dealer network, which counts over 85 carefully selected distributors, who guarantee the Group’s clientele the very best assistance in marinas all over the world.
