Pershing brings the distinct personality of the new Pershing 74’ to Barcelona  From 5th to 13th November the brand of the Ferretti Group will exhibit the streamlined design of its latest model at the Catalan Show.
3 November 2011 – Pershing, brand of the Ferretti Group, among the leading international manufacturers of high performance open motor yacht, from 15 to 35 metres, will participate in the Barcelona International Boat Show together with Ventura Yachts, the exclusive distributor for Spain.
The protagonist of the Iberian event, which reaches its 50th edition this year, will be the new Pershing 74’, which will animate the docks of Port Vell with the charm of its distinct open personality, with its new lighting and unparalleled space distribution.
With the contemporary and modern restyling of Pershing 72’, the model that has made the history of the brand, the new Pershing 74’ is the latest creation of yacht designer, Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with AYT of the Ferretti Group and the team of architects and designers of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. 22.66 metres long and 5.50 wide, this new model, featuring two MTU Common Rail engines of 1950 hp with Searex propulsion and high performance surface propellers, reaches a top speed of 44 knots while maintaining a high level of comfort.
In a design in which light and cutting-edge technology triumph, the decisive character of this vessel is immediately visible, due to the external profile, which is more slender and streamlined than that of its predecessor, thanks to the new shape of the side windows, which makes them wider. An absolute novelty of this model is the optional sun deck with a bridge-away, which can be accessed through the innovative steel carbon central staircase – created with the collaboration of AYT and Besenzoni – which lowers automatically into the cockpit with electro-hydraulic control. The technological characteristics that made P72’ famous still remain, including the pocket door between the cockpit and the saloon, which combines the exterior and the interior into one single space fully exploiting the space and allowing direct contact with the sea. The vessel is also equipped with a telescopic gangway, a hydraulic swimming ladder and a launch platform that becomes a slipway for the tender.
Below deck, Pershing 74’, has a master cabin and two guest cabins that can host up to 6 people – 7 with a pull out bed in the left guest cabin – and two crew members, thanks to the distribution of spaces that aims at exalting the concept of comfort and liveability on board. The prestigious collaboration of Poltrona Frau has created furniture and leather finishing, designed to combine the Pershing style in every area with value and craftsmanship quality, typical to Poltrona Frau creations.
